Penny’s at Blyth is an exquisite boutique that highlights many wares and products from local artisans –even sea salt from Goderich.

It is a genuine pleasure to shop in Penny’s as the atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly.   Penny willingly shares precious tidbits about her products which make them even more endearing.

Every time I visit her shop, I see new treasures or items I haven’t noticed before.

Shopping at Penny’s is a veritable experience and a treat for the senses.

For the Foodie in You!

There is quite an assortment of tasty food and snack products including delicious goodies from Wihelmina’s Bakery, Pizza from Grassroots, Honey from Maitland Heights’ Apiaries, delicious frozen prepared meals, cheeses, yummy sauces, gourmet dips and a selection of breads.

Unique Home Decor

Penny’s Shop features interesting home décor pieces including home sewn cushion covers and couch pouches. As well, there are many comfortable pillows, cozy blankets and throws soon needed for those chilly fall nights.  Other wares include candles, wooden pieces with a fascinating collection of trees, autumn decorations with interesting pumpkins, mixed Media Glass Art, Wall Hangings and Pictures.  Actually, too much more to talk about so you really need to come and see for yourself!

For the Kitchen

For the kitchen, there are colourful mugs and dishes, wooden pieces, tea towels and a number of handy gadgets. I was delighted to find table coasters made by a local artisan from the wood cut from the oak tree located at the former Blyth Public School – what a keepsake! It seems Penny is very interested and adept in filling her shop with products that are representative of our local area.

Personal Care, and Even Your Pets Care!

You will also find a collection of personal care items to treat yourself on special days! And, there are Items for your pets too — WOOF! WOOF!

I was also quite impressed with the rope purses which could be easily matched to one of the stunning hats on display. What caught my eye were the fabulous quilted coats from Craig and Mills.  I purchased one in the summer. It’s a coat sewn with a stunning print on one side and reverses to an attractive but simple blue and white print on the other side — what a statement piece! Every time I wear it, people check it out, always admiring its uniqueness and versatility.

Baby Gifts

If you need something special for baby, or a bride to be, or a friend’s birthday, or a family’s house warming, a couples’ wedding don’t despair, Penny has the solution for all your needs. My friend visited from Vancouver during the summer and was quite impressed with the quality, the variety of unique merchandise and the prices.  She did experience some difficulty deciding on the items she would purchase to take back to her friends. Like me, she was quite enthralled with the shop and loved everything! And of course as any good shopper does, she remembered to buy something for herself!
